1. Earthquakes hit Japan and Indonesia and the second one was called Hurricane Ike delays Cargo for Space Outpost.
2. The first article was about how Russian and U.S. agencies decided to delay shipment when Hurricane Ike imposed and made them evacuate from a control center in Texas.
3. The second article was about two shore earthquakes hit the shore of northern Japan and Indonesian but not one of them caused severe damage to the place or the people.
4. I think the second article because even though nothing got destroyed it was the more frightening and scary one that I read.
5. Compare- Both dealt with a disaster that caused internal grief.
Contrast- One dealt with a specific hurricane and the other they didn't have one.

1. Most earthquakes tend to happen along the Pacific Ocean.
2. I think that is because if the fracture in the earth is ruptured it will cause a bigger effect on the surrounding area.
3. This area is called “the ring of fire”.
4. The earthquake closest to us happened in southeastern Missouri.
5. An earthquake that happened in the last seven days would be the one that happened in southeastern Missouri on September 3, 2008. It had a magnitude 2.7 and it was in depth 9.4 kilometers (km).

What type of mass movement...?
Have you ever been in the middle of a type of a type a mass movement such as creep, rockfalls, slides, slumps, and flows? I want to discuss with you a real life example such as the one in this picture. This is a picture of a rockfall and how the debris falls down to earth into talus or piles of rock. This is a picture of Glacier point and Washburn Point taken by Gerald Wieczorek. Next time you go somewhere with unpredictable climate make sure you know the weather patterns from future reference.
